The Hall itself is a mess. Destroyed by fire in 2004, it only stands due to it being Grade II listed. The history has been done before, so it a nutshell, It was a Hall for private residents until WW2 when it was made a RAF hospital. After the it was used by RAF and civilians until 1984. Then the USAF had control until it was destroyed by fire in 2004.
The only security is a temporary fence around the hall and a more permanent fence, with barbwire around the barracks, wards and service buildings. There were footprints where somebody had walked round and fixed holes in the perimeter fence.
Unfortuanately the battery in my camera died half way through so most of the pictures are from the hall.
