I know there have been dozens of posts on Denbigh Asylum, but I was too excited not to post! This site is what got me interested in discovering abandoned places. As an architecture student at University this place was a must! I managed to climb onto one of the highest chimneys on the site to get an amazing snap, the views were simply amazing. (I don't recommend attempting if you're not very agile)

From what I have gathered the council are in the process of purchasing the site off the current owner, they invested £1mn on a new roof for the main building as the current owner refused to maintain it. The new roof is quite a contrast with the stonework of the building but I guess it was the easiest and fastest solution to prevent the building from deteriorating further.

The main building was quite trippy, as all the floors have been removed to install the new roof, so you'd start walking up a flight of stairs and then fresh air!

Here's some snaps, I hope you enjoy ;)

You got some great shots there bud but i have to say where your taking a shot from under that window - was not a wise move bud - i toned that down quite a lot from what i initally thought.

Some absolutely cracking shots there! Amazing detail, nice work!

Yeah great shots.
Nothing wrong with posting places that have been done before, if we don't the forum would dry up cos there is not an infinite amount of places to explore so keep em coming!
