well this is my last post from my Wales tour.sorry if I have bombarded the forum with my posts this week.anyway I visited these two small mills last year.but it was a disaster.in the first mill my camera went wrong.and in the second mill I went the route I was given only to be stopped by the old woman who owned the field and told me I could not go that way to the mill.so I had to find another way.it was either a long tree across the river.or to wade the river.i had come a long way last year to see these and I did not fancy the tree while on my own.so the river it was.i waded it and it was waist deep.two days after that I caught a severe case of whooping cough which had me off work for several weeks and lasted eight months..so I was pleased to go back with my camera all working.this time we took the easy route and every thing went perfectly this time.

This is the first mill.my camera went wrong in here and I had to shoot in auto.its very cramped and the downstairs is full of machinery and very dark.but upstairs is a bit more lighter and still cramped though.

This is the second mill.like I say getting here was a bit easier this time.although a steep bank to contend with.this one is not as busy as the other one.i loved the coloured wool in here.and the old wooden machinery.the roof is on the verge of collapsing.

I hope you enjoyed my retake on these small but very beautiful old mills.

Bombarded this forum with your posts?? More like invaded.... But I don't mind because I like your style of photography, the way you plan your shots, obviously you don't just pick up the camera and shoot but look and take your time. Just like the first two pictures, my eye looks at the large item in the foreground and then as I follow to infinity. This place is quite ancient because some of the looms are made of wood. Still has the belt pulleys as well. Must have been quite noisy when this place was up and running and now - silence......

Thank you Hugh..I will be a bit more quiet now ha ha..but got stuff in the pipeline, and this weekend I am just giving someone a tour of Norfolk stuff.the place is very old.especially the second mill.its nearly all wooden frame machinery in there.a place full of character.

No-one could accuse you of not putting the effort in Mikey, but freezing your essentials off is going above and beyond:D, you shot fantastic pics of those mills, but for me the first one was outstanding. Many Thanks.

The first time smiler I had gone a long way to see these. i was not going back without seeing them.this time was a lot easier.trust me.thank you my friend.

That really is something else, nicely done. Bad luck on the cough, but at least your ordeal got us these fine pictures.

An 8 month bout of whooping cough!? No wonder you went back to conquer these.
Very nicely done indeed I must say, but please stay dry in future though.

Thank you..it was horrendous and took three months for me to persuade the doctors what it was..then they tested me and I had severe case of it.so was good to go back.

Lovely images there, I walked on the tree at the second mill, it was dicey to say the least lol
