Rocketman Mill - Nov '15

Rocketmans Mill:

Grade 2 listed mill. I spotted this on the Buildings At Risk Register and thought it would be nice to pay it a visit on its 175th birthday! I had no idea if we'd even get in. But after a bit of hiding, and social engineering of a curious old lady (Cheers LadyPandora & Jon Boy) we were in.



Winding Gear:








I clambered up into the fragile roofspace, which was deeply carpeted with pigeon poo.


I was going to wander out into the overhanging bay. But there was a human sized hole above the 3 storey drop outside... Still, was my fave shot of the splore:


Subdued, silent selfie:


Waiting for JonBoy to finish off his photos I sat chilling by the water which still rushes through the mill.

What else can you put for the title of a report on a building with the name 'Elton Mill'? One needs a bit of impact!
