Hi all,
Got a chance to look around here today, not that interesting; photos taken on my (old) phone, so not the highest quality either! Still a good mooch though.

I looked around the old industrial units around the back as well, but they were less than savoury, so I won't include them...

pic 10 brings back good memories "a shadowgraph machine" we used to have a similar one where I work.

Could you explain what it was used for by any chance? I found it quite interesting!

If you hadn't have mentioned it I wouldn't have guessed they were phone pics. Nicely done!

I'm surprised the old girl is holding up so well being over three years old now! I'm impressed that it managed to capture the depth in pic 3 so well.

Nice windows.. Wonder what they did here..?

It's got a long history from what I can tell/talking to the locals;

It used to be part of the Vulcan Ironworks I believe, then became a munitions factory of some sorts during the war (I'm guessing this as we dug up a bomb shelter around the back!) and then I think it was a car part pressing factory.

It was a foundry originally. It was the place that produced the first refrigeration system in the world in 1880 which revolutionised the importation of foods from abroad. In latter life it was taken over by Aida Bliss, a Japanese stamping press manufacturer.
