continunig my tour of norfolks forgotten airfields this was the one I first visited when starting exploring.so I went back with urban myth, and he showed me some bits what a few ain't seen.this airfield was a satellite for raf watton, but became an independent airfield during the war.home to American mustangs.one famously flew into the tower in dense fog.damaging a large section of the tower.which was repaired.there is always something eerie about these very derelict airfields and I always take time to think of the people who served here and lost there lives.
