Hi All
Went on a big explore around the Culham area today, as well as the ROC post there is a AT emplacement next to it, that looks like it was used by the ROC staff at some point as door frames had been added and painted in the standard MOD green colour, also one of the firing slits has been blocked and a cooking flue inserted.

On the roof of the AT emplacement is an WW2 observation post.

On the way to the ROC post and AT emplacement we came across an old firing range, parts of which look like they date back some time maybe 1940's but no proof at the moment.

Well done! Having looked at the location on Google Earth I'm embarrassed to say that I thought I knew that bit of river quite well but never knew that lot was behind the greenery.

I did the site recently though still have to post the photos. The pillbox was obviously used after the war as Part of the ROC post and the fireing range is still used as the red flag was up when I went past. The area round the Pillbox has been cleard a bit giveing better acess. I'll post the photo's in my Thames thread when I get them up. I hope not all ROC posts are like that one.
