After recently acquiring a map of RAF Warboys from a lovely fellow member I wanted to check out some of the areas the map highlighted. Having already visited some of the cool stuff I decided to take another trip here with my dog as it’s a nice walk along the old runway. A little way down I came across this old building along with what I presume to be the old Fire Station and reservoir. The owner of the land has obviously stored these old carts and some farm equipment which clearly haven't been used in quite some time. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much there was in here. This may not be to everyone’s taste but I really liked it :)

The landowners seem to be taking care of this place; they've planted some shrubs around the edge of the reservoir, and put some trellis fencing and different varieties of climbing plants against the building. I can imagine in summer this will look quite colourful!

Thanks for looking,

Rubex

I like that, a bit different and nice to see your assistant. :). I spotted a grey Fergie tractor there. (That's where my tractor knowledge begins and ends).

Loved all the old carts - That doggie looks a cheeky little monkey - you can just tell

I love this rubex..can't wait to see it myself..so many nice bits to see..another quality report and find..and (ahem) I hope I never get that hairy ☺

This is a very cool place. It's a shame all those carts are left in there rather than being used. That's a young looking dog, how old? Splendid photos too.

Nah Mikey reckons the mutts friendlier

And he'd be right about that Smiler lol especially on a bad day!

Cheeky monkey is a polite way of putting it Taz. Today he decided my daffodils needed to die lol the old carts were my favourite!

Urbexing dog! Fantastic. Really enjoyed that Rubex. Bit different.

Haha yes. I remember your urbex Cat

Yes it is a shame, however at least they're in here and not left outside to rot. He's 12 months :)

Thanks everyone :)

AAAH shit, Now I'm really frightened, is Mikey a big fella? could I hide behind him? would you bring the pup, I get on with dogs it's just people I piss off.

It *IS* original, enamelled Coolicon lamp shades date from the mid-late 1930s and were standard around most ww2 airfields.

Yep, I meant 1930's - slipped on the damn numeric keypad. Production carried on for decades, they were used by BBC, GPO and most Government offices - favored to the alternative enamel lighting as they had the upper vents, allowing light to pass both upwards and downwards. And of course, all from a standard BC fixture. (i was only maybeing it as I hate to guarantee anything I see )

off topic but interestingly, production under the original name and logo has recently begun again. Not surprising given the popularity!
