Northern Spain has lots of derelict and semi-derelict chapels, churches and shrines that are just left open for people to wander in to. Being a catholic country, it is left to trust that they wont be damaged or vandalised. This particular shrine is still used once a month for services, and it is mostly in reasonble condition. It is quite small, but the most interesting feature is an extraordinary double spiral staircase that stretches up behind the altar to the tabernacle sanctuary. You wont see anything like this in England, so enjoy the pics
