When i did see the first pictures of this place on a forum, i allready knew i had to see it myselve.
It always feels a bit funny when i walking through a location i knew for short only virtual.
Especially when that place is 1200 kilometers from my house, in Italy and i have to fly for it.
A small adventure you can say.
(Wasn't Columbus dutch also...?)

The most impressive part of this huge factory is the powerplant.
I have seen some by now, but this really is the most beautiful and rarest i ever seen.
The sad thing is that thieves also discovered it, and demolishing the turbines for the copper.
So in a few more months this place only lives further in the pictures there are made.

Any idea exactly how long before demolition? somewhere I'd love to see.

There are no plans for demolition.
What i meant is that at this moment people are trashing the turbines just to steal the copper.
It won't take long before they are completely in pieces.

Wow, that place is stunning. I don't know which I prefer, the turbine hall or the office/staircase area.
