Derelict house & extensive barns & stables in a large plot of land with a small river flowing through it. Pretty much gutted but there are some attempts to keep it standing scattered around. Part of the back end has fallen off & I scratched my self to bits getting through the brambles into this place. Getting out was a lot easier.
Got here before dawn so pics get lighter as you go....

Downstairs - who puts a cobbled floor over the top of a wooden floor?

There was a fairly large bat going round and round the ceiling in this room so I didn't stay long in it

Thanks for looking.

According to friends who live there about, the 'cobbled' floor in the corridor is a replica of a naturally occurring stream bed and the display cabinets probably contained samples of fossils and local rock strata. The occupant prior to WW1 was evidently interested in geology and fossils - as were many of the landed gentry at that time.

Nice set of photographs of this place.

Thank you for a well taken set of photo's, always wonder who lived there and when did they leave !
