Default Book Cold War building for nuclear confrontation 1946-1989

been on a bit of book buying spree lately and found this book on amazon starting from around 9 pounds used

Cold War building for nuclear confrontation 1946-1989 its written by Wayne D Cocroft and Roger JC Thomas published by English Heritage

goes into some detail of every aspect of the UK's reaction to the Cold War from early detection to mutually assured destruction and everything in between

theres some fantastic illustraions inside which I think made it well worth buying just for those alone

Wayne Cocroft is English Heritage's resident cold war and WWII boffin. Me, Fluff and Newage went to a talk by him at a couple of years ago - he's also an expert on V2 sites I think as well?

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
