Not too sure if this is considered derelict or abandoned as its open to the public, But as the South is lacking in any form of abandoned places, I thought id give this a shot as I was in the area visiting the Embrace Statues.
Lots of history on this place, but this is a quick scoop from wiki:
Godstow abbey was built on an island between streams of the Thames given to the foundress c. 1133 by John of St. John. The site was enlarged in 1139 by John's grant of a further piece of land in front of the church (or abbey) gate, probably the site across Godstow bridge on which the abbey's grange was later built.
Still trying to get used to the bridge camera, tried a couple HDR shots - also first time use on a tripod.
Last but not least, I don't think someone was happy being snapped.
