Default Hunting down more railway relicts may 2012

Hello folks, well as we all know i have a little thing for railway porn so as i had a day off work i decided to take a bike ride on a hunt for more railway relicts. Now this old line has some little jems not so much derelict as it is now used as a cycle route (which is a fine ride if i may add) from tunnels to bridges.
The line Northamton to Market Harborough was first opened in 1859 and last used in 1973 please check out my report Oxendon tunnel for a little more history

now many apologies as Iím not sure whatís going on these days as some of my shots the settings are a little off ether I need a crash course in photography or the amount of dog walkers and bike riders wizing past put me off
    So on with the pics

Lamport station house which is now someones home

The hunt for more relicts continues thanks for looking

Well thought i would add some more shots as myself and kathyms had a mini mooch today around Northamton and came across some more railway porn while i was having a reccy on another site
well there i was thinking its to busy to have a look at this other site to find some dis-used rails and after i stopped jumping with joy like a small child i took a look down the line

i'm not sure what is going on with my photobucket eveytime i put my shots the right way up they upload like this

these tracks where for this old loco shed which was last used as a welding school but as this was not a planned splore i never had the time to have a proper mooch round the shed which has had a fair amount of reports already here is a link to Priority 7's explore of the site (hope you dont mind the link mate )

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
