Feeling bored one afternoon I went for a drive on my own and found this house on it's own up a hill. Being my usual nosey self I decided to get out and have a look.

The house was very secluded; set in a large garden that was mostly free from stinging nettles and brambles. The house obviously belongs to the farm down the track given that the electrics for the farm gate were installed within the premises of this house. Even better than the lack of brambles and nettles was the ease of access to the property - a nice surprise!

Once inside there was not much to be seen but it was still a lovely house. Interestingly it features two staircases leading to the same landing. It looks like the metal magpies have given this place a visit, given the lack of pipework under the lifted floorboards, and the bath and aga were also missing. Apart from that, though, the house was in a good state. A quick hoover and few new floorboards and you've got yourself a lovely home lol

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the photos from this peaceful lone explore:

Thanks for looking,

Rubex

Nice find here, this house is in a not too bad condition. A new bathroom suite, a new kitchen suite, some tiles, paint a good hoovering and get rid of those cobwebs and - like you said you've got a nice house. But, in pictures 12 and 13 I noticed that the bathroom door had a bolt lock on the outside of the door. I like the nicely varnished old style doors. And the outhouse. A good find.

Yes I noticed that too! it's a bit odd isn't it? I also noticed that one of the doors to an upstairs bedroom had a blot on the outside as well! I loved those doors too, and they were all in very good condition :)

Another good report Rubex
There seems to be loads of derelict buildings your way
jealous; I'm really having to hunt for them over my way!

Blimey you keep yourself busy don't you! That's really odd with the locks.
Another fantastic report, thanks for sharing :)
