Tatsfield BBC Measurement and Receiving Station

Hi everyone

This is my first post on here and I know its been done before but its not too far from where I live so thought I'd wander up there!

It was built in 1929 and abandoned in 1974, there are only two remaining buildings which are in a poor state!

This is what remains of the sewage facility as there previously was a large round bricked section with this on top - looks like the farmer has removed it!

This i believe is the edging of the tennis courts, it was on very flat ground surrounded by large conifer trees!

The 'dark underground' room is the one on the bottom left of the map, and the first building is the one on the bottom right of the map.

Very interesting find. The piece of equipment is a video recorder.

It was a bit weird, as we left, a farmer came out and we pretended we were looking for something.

He said the last lot of people that came up here were swarmed by the MOD and police...think he was just trying to scare us!!
