I wasn't going to post these as they are a bit far gone and derpy derpotronic but I can't see either of them having been reported before so here goes....
Having lived in Chesterfield all my life, I had no idea it used to have a greyhound racing track. Opened in the 1970s apparently by a guy who won a fortune on the pools it ran successfully for 30 years before shutting down in the late 1990's. A disappointing lack of exquisite antique white dog eggs but an interesting wander all the same.
Half a mile away was Chesterfield Wagon Works, from what I can find out a company established in 1932 concerned with the construction and refitting of railway carriages, briefly switching during world war two to make aircraft weapons. A massive site with some nice features remaining.
