I came across this when I was looking for local pictures on Flickr. Douglas Campbell was an amateur photographer who left over 30000 slides when he died in 2007. His son is attempting to have them all digitised and put them on Flickr, he is approaching 10000. The sets are divided into years, going back to the 1950s, and there are many pictures of buildings.

Great find!

I wonder if there will be any new explores found through his period photos. There's certainly plenty old large houses and castles in the collection.

Shame he's not enabled a slightly larger version of the images :(
 
Wow, that's quite a legacy he's left behind! Just goes to show how useful it can be to document stuff, even if it was only for personal enjoyment at the time.
