Martino ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/martino_ ) and myselve went away to enjoy a good weekend with sun, beer, bbq and great locations.
We both took our tents, so we spent the night at a camping 2 nights.
Forget about the chicks, all we see was over 65.. )-:

We stood up early because we want to be at the famous Chateau du Lac with sunrise.
The castle is in poor condition, not much left behind,
but nice enough to explore it for a couple of hours.

Wow what a place. The ornate banister and ballastrades are awesome. If that had been round here the scrap men would have had a field day.

I can see why Black Shuck thought this was in Normandy. I visited a very similar place a few years back.

Stunning pics bartje. The "solid" look of the woodwork combined with the unusual metalwork is great.

Thanks for sharing. :)

I've always wanted a French chateau  what's the history behind the building  the walkway with the partially stained / coloured glass is particularly interesting :)

Almost every report from Europe makes me want to road trip more...excellent stuff! :)
