I saw this a year ago as when we passed by but my wife was not impressed - "Not another f****** derelict building!" So we didn't stop that time......
It's on a busy and very narrow lane so I had to park right in front and climb the gate in full view of any motorist or cyclist passing by. So I wander round and as you can see in the pictures there is not a lot to it. Anyway just after I climbed into the one room still accessible a red car noisily pulls up in front and a man in a red polo shirt gets out and slams the door. Here we go I thought - I'm standing in the middle of this one room watching as he goes to the gate I climbed over. Not wishing for a confrontation I stood in the corner and waited. Sure enough I saw his shadow in the window and his hands on the sill as he glowered into the little room. (I'm 3 foot away if that). Being too angry to think he didn't bother actually looking in properly and stomped off to his car, started it up and moved it 10 feet and sat for a while probably phoning whoever grassed me up. Then he departed in a roar of engine noise. I climbed out and did a few more from the road before moving on.
What fun!

Thanks for looking.

People often think that situations like that only come about while infiltrating Buckingham palace, but people can be awfully protective of the local ruin - Coupled with the lack of knowledge about what we do! Well handled Sir.
Also spot on photos throughout. Brilliant stuff! :)

Brilliant! I had a similar situation with angry farmer type bloke caught me emerging from a completely trashed house (just a shell really), tried explaining I was just after pictures....he shouted at me 'Don't you have a job to go to!?' haha bonk...
