Ok, my first report here. A little history on the place
The Hornchurch facility was opened in 1938 as an old people’s home, called Suttons Institution, but soon played a key role in the Battle of Britain – housing RAF airmen during the Second World War.
In 1948 the Sutton’s Lane building was renamed St George’s and turned into a hospital.
On to the explore, it was a really wet day and we didn't go until the Afternoon, had no idea about the place with regards to secca. Didn't see him allday and was most probably asleep! The site was great, didn't manage the tower wanted to get inside as quick as we could. The place has started being stripped of door frames etc but it was still beautiful! Very tranquil and serene. Gutted the mortuary slab was gone and my fellow explorers nearly shit themselves when they opened the mortuary fridge and a fox came running at them from inside. I of course was doubled over laughing! The eternal corridor was a thing of beauty, I believe it's 1/8 of a mile.
