Found this old thread in a Google search and thought it might interest some of you to know that I lived in these cottages in 1995/96. It was in good condition when we left but it had old-fashioned, vertical "cottage stairs" to the upstairs bedrooms which are now illegal so I guess after we left the farmer couldn't let it out anymore. So disappointing to see it in this condition
