Abandoned Hospital, Leicestershire

I recently visited another abandoned hospital, this time in Leicestershire and it creeped me out big time! It was a lovely sunny day, but there was a slight breeze and it made the curtains blow in the empty windows. I also heard moans and whining and a man's voice, but didn't see a living soul there. I dunno if it's haunted, but it certainly felt like it could be! I took my Mum with me and she was way more spooked than me. She even screamed when a bird flew out of a tree! Haha!

Apparently, the place was opened in the 1930's and was a convalesent home. I recently found some old photos of the place for sale on eBay and decided to buy them to compare them with how it looks now. My 2 sepia toned photos are supposed to a re-creation of the old photos

I don't think I saw the hospital kitchen. I was dead spooked in just one part of the building and my Mum wasn't keen on exploring the other parts.

I'm hoping to go back with my Mum, Brother and Sister In Law very soon, so hopefully we'll explore a lot more of it. What should I look out for in the kitchen? Is it a painting of someone with a knife?

The doctor and patient artwork is in the kitchen, brilliant stuff!

It is a great place i must admit! Shame its tottaly trashed though now!

Listen to Kezza mate,its proper hot now ! To many local chavs smashing the place up and the locals have had enough!

Yeah and people parking right at the occupied lodge house and walking up the main drive, as we saw last week, is not helping the place! Kids these days cant be stealthy to save their lives

Haha! We parked just down from the lodge house and climbed right up through the woods so the people in the lodge wouldn't see us! I can't believe that chavs can get out to it without their own transport. It's not exactly on a bus route is it? And chavs can't afford cars can they?

Yeah you got the right idea! I can only presume the chavs are local rich brats going by the area its in.
The people we have seen turning up in cars were not coming to smash the place up, just pretty clueless people exploring!
