Zachary Merton Recovery Home, Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire

My first 'proper' visit to a derelict site was to the Zachary Merton Recovery Home in Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire. I recently posted a report on here which included some photos, but I couldn't find any of how it used to look. I then went on eBay and couldn't believe my luck! There were 4 postcards of the place for sale! How weird is that?! The exact same time I decide to visit the ruined building and someone else is selling postcards of the place when it was new! Anyway, here they are!

Excellent, MD has a postcard the same as the last one, and Ive seen the third one before. The first two ive never seen before and they are great, looks so much better with the original windows and balconies

It might also be under its later name of "Bradgate Park Nursing Home" if that helps

I went there last month some time and it was a really good explore, it's fascinating to see how it used to look.

Oooooooooooh thank you for posting these, it looked great when it was open and in it's heyday. Excellent find, looks far better than on the report pics.
