Since this has been done before and there are way better pic than mine, think of this more of an update to the status.
This is a lovely compact arrow asylum which is slowly being demolished, from the very heart of the complex. Massive shame. A lot of the connecting corridors are now gone. This of course makes it easy to get in and around but you lose the feel of it being complete.
Scotty and I had just finished Brinpbeck pier so this was the second of the day. Entry was easy enough but we had to turn in to stealth ninjas when we spotted builders ripping the drain pipes from the outside of the asylum. Lucky after a while they finished for the day and left, locking up behind them. Now was our chance to explore.
The smell was pretty unique and it was very damp now all the slate has gone from the roof.
Still a brill couple of hours and technically our first proper asylum. They are a long way from us.
Annoyingly the main hall was well bricked up...and there was at least 2 people onsite inside one main building. On hearing a few swear words we moved away and went back to the wings.
I think we had seen most of what is left.
