Hey guys, I won't put up all the pics I took as it got ridiculous. Heard about this place from a friend, and it would seem its been photographed quite a bit on here, some outstanding shots, and strangely, a lot of places we didnt even find (such as the main hall!!!).
Loving some of the wide angle shots, JulesP had some great ones.

I wont go into the history, Im sure its been written out at least once.

Here's a selection of my photos and a link to the album.

Some outbuilding which had been trashed

I love this place!
Looks like you saw some places I missed as well!
I went for another visit today as I was local again and found a few bits I missed before. Spent about an hour or so there just wandering and re-taking some shots I wasnt happy with from last time - will try to tag one or two on a bit later - hope you dont mind.
Thanks mate

Jules

Why thank you, t'was a good hairday indeed.

I must say when we were in the town and asked a local where some road close was, he did say straight away "you aren't going up to the hospital are you".

A little worrying.

Cheers for the extra shots JulesP, where on earth were they? Doesnt look like anything we saw there, has a much more depressingly grimey feel to it. I love it. I tend to go for glamourous, high contrasty colours, whether bright or dark. If I try the depressing soggy heavy look I tend to go into looking crap... hmm

Really wish I could put a fisheye or wide angle on my camera.

Here are a few over-photoshopped bits ive done just as an experiment, most are going for the warmer look, contrast between the despairing surroundings and settings and the warmth of almost a sale home.
