Noticed that theres been a few reports on this site recently and thought we would stop in and have a wander around on the way to cromer to meet mimble for the fletcher. Met a couple of local kids there that showed us around and advised us what floors not to stand on thankfully or else i would have definitley ended up going through the floor :D The basement had a really strange feeling about it too, probly didnt help i was down there on my own. Especially as i had found out there used to be isolation rooms down there. All in all a nice chilled little explore tho.
Need to get back there really and have a proper poke about and get some better pics.
Heres the history of the site and also a really good site to find out about workhouses and find local ones to you.

Cool pics erol - I went there a couple of weeks ago - I'll upload my pics later. I like Hales, a really cool atmosphere.

@Black Shuck: My other half and I loved the basements, partcularly the electrical panels - and lots of iron bars in the ceiling to hang things from ;-)

manof2worlds: yeah it does have a really cool atmosphere but something strange about it, like how some rooms still really smell of hospitals but others dont smell of anything. look forward to ur pics :)

urbanx: cheers, yes u definitley should, really nice explore.

black shuck: yes i know u was lol. yeah the cellar is very blair witch. i expected to see someone standing in every corner that i looked at. id say its more spooky than severalls but being pitch black inside alot of it doesnt help. and cheers :)
