Hales Hospital, Norfolk, August 2009
Greetz all!!!
My first report here so please go easy on me
My other half (hereinafter known as fruitbat11) and I have done a few explores locally, but this was the first real one and we were quite pleased with what we saw and found.
Plenty of history on other postings, but essentially, Hales Hospital started life as Heckingham Workhouse in the late 18th century and was later converted to a hospital. As far as I know at this stage, it's last usage as a hospital was for infirm elderly. It closed in 1995.
So here's some pics, hope you like them
(warning - pic heavy, apologies if this not good!!!):
fruitbat11 arrives a tad late for her appointment!!!
manof2worlds complete with sweatmarks - class act eh?
