Default Bradgate Nursing home Leicestershire Aug09

this is my first post so take your time with me
Visited this with dj-fresh,Its in poor condition but i love this place as you can almost feel its history its a big place and could take a whole day unfortunatly we only had a few hours to go

this was a nursing home with a ward opened later on for people with mental illness

    bit late for that

    love the old skool touch

some underground tunnels i wanted to go in but wasnt brave enough as signs of asbestos

looks like it might not be there much longer

if i can improve my post just say good or bad many thanks

    Good pics.
    The place looks huge.
You must get a mask and get down them tunnels, it would be rude not to.

could not agree with you more ive got a proper mask i use at work somewhere,But need some company as im alittle chicken going down by myself as this place is off the beaten track and really spooky feel to it with noises and shadows and only 1 way in and is really huge,we kept hearing bangs so made a quick retreat shame it looks like its going,

I really apreciate the comments as being new im still trying to get a feel for it and nice to know if im doing it right or wrong :)

nice place but never seen any pics anywhere of them tunnels so i might have to put on my white suite we use when spraying cars and a mask and get down there

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
