The Asylum List

As I am in the progress of rebuilding my website from the ground up, I thought I would share one of the new pages with you, a near complete list of all the Asylums around the country - I still have yet to add Scotland (they are sitting in a pm somewhere lol). This list was originally adpated from the work Simon Cornwell and Pete Cracknell have done, but with a few extra additions. You'll be able to sort the list by clicking on the colomn heading, which I personally think is a decent extra

If you spot any mistakes, do let me know - I keep finding them myself.

Just had a quick perusal, just a couple of modifications - warlingham was always officially called warlingham park, caterham was renamed st. lawrence's for most of it's existance under the NHS.

St Andres has been developed, the Annexe sites empty

Can't believe I didn't know Warneford Hospital was an asylum, I go past it every day on the bus! No plans for closure though.....

I never actually did this, I have another one to add to the list, so it will be done tonight, he says...
