Hellingly 2010-01
whole album can be viewed here http://s193.photobucket.com/albums/z78/CrysAk/Urbex/2010-01-09-Hellingly/
apparently 176 (a select few of what i actualy took!) is tomany :p

So its been a while since I've been out with the cam and what with the snow and pending deletion of hellingly.. what better location ^^

getting there was an adventure in its own with an epic slowmotion 5MPH crash on black ice into a small bank... I've enver crashed before! :( but .. even at 5mph and 30+meters of road, that still wasnt enough to stop/slide/regain control of the car that jsut wanted to continue forwards lol
Overall though was a great day out, got there for sunrise and left at sunset, didnty run into ANYONE suprisingly! and got to play with my freinds sigma 10-20 :D
We also picked up a little freind, a lil baby Red Robin who seemed to follow us and hop about everywhere! at one point we thought it would be funny to make a snowman and put it in the mainhall .... 2 minutes later and it just turned into a snowball fight lol

anywho, on with the pics!, bonus points to any posters who can find all 25 photos containing a certain single entity ;)

enjoy

hi

Rachel

one of the buildings has been demolished, some show homes are now up and a lot of the rooms and corridors have been cleared. It's still standing but it's lost some of it's character now

Hii, newbie here,my first post. Single entity wouldn't be the pineapple would it?
I remember this place from the early 70's, my brother was a inpatient for 6 months (depression) My friend was also an inpatient in the mid 80's, I can picture a lot of this as it was and it has brought back vivid memories of a fantastic hospital that cured people. Anyone ever get pics of the secure unit?
Amberstone is the part of the hospital still open and I think that used to be the women's area many years ago. I was last there in 1998 where the perimeter buildings were used by the NHS as offices and the staff social club was still in use.
Have not heard of it's demolition but will see what I can find out

Lovely car, its funny I havent seen a Cosworth one in a good 10years I reckon. I always look out for them, saying that though, the 190's are as rare as these days it seems. Looks really smart mate btw, love the AMG wheels :)
