St. Edmund's Hospital

HISTORY: Was built as the Northampton Union workhouse, later St Edmund's Workhouse and finally converted to St Edmund's hospital. Could hold 300 inmates

STATUS: Has had the newest portion of the building demolished leaving three buildings standing, the Admin and two ward blocks. One of these was the original school house for the workhouse. Full of needles but no security.

Not bad if you are in the area. Good for pics in the medical records dept.

be aware, there is houses all around the site on 3 sides and the busy main road in and out of northampton on the other....

after having a mooch, dweeb saw a cop car at the entrance, so we took the ....erm, back way out...lol
