    Arrow Harold Wood Hospital, March 2010


    Visited with Kent-urbex. Saw most of the site but got spotted before could find the famous mortuary and sent on our way by a couple of large gents. They kept talking about some fierce german shepherds roaming around the site but we didn't hear or see any. Imaginary pets maybe? ;)The site is or was used used for dog training though so didn't hang about just in case :).

    Won't go into the history because it's been well covered elsewhere, just to say Harold Wood was a general hospital at Barking, London, that closed in 2006.

    My apologies. You're right, it's in the excellently named Gubbins Lane, Harold Wood, Romford. It was part of the Barking, Havering and Redbridge Hospitals NHS Trust.
