Arrow Lincoln County Hospital, Dec 2009

Forgot I had even taken these, visited here at the end of last year. A strange one as part is still live, and sometimes you can see people the other side of doors in the corridors. While we were in the operating theatres someone walked into the abandoned part and we had to lie low for a while! Opened in 1878, with additional parts built in 1891. Think the abandoned parts closed sometime in the 1990's

really like the look of this! it's a wierd feeling isn't it when someone else is wondering around the building whilst you're in it!! a mix between excitement and sh*tting yerself!

I hate the idea of ever having to go to hospital, all those ill people and me being one of them is just plain scary, however, when they're empty and disused they take on a strange beguiling nightmarish type of quality that is like watching a good horror movie, made all the more real by the fact part of the hospital is still used, very freaky.
Great photos, the operating theatre is an absolute gem.Next time I am up at my mums (she lives in Lincolnshire) I will have to check this place out,as I will Rauceby and about a million other places I keep finding out about.
