As of Autumn last year, Hellingly hospital has been in the hands of a developer and they wasted no time in starting work.
First port of call was putting up some new houses between park house and the main building, and at more or less the same time they ripped into Park house which is now totally flat.
These 3 images were taken in December 2009
I returned again very recently, just to see state of the main building (and perhaps scope out access ) and shot some externals. Looks like the developers are starting to clear the buildings out, a lot of the upstairs windows are missing their frames entirely and theres a huge pile of carpets, radiator covers, light fittings, fake ceilings and plasterboard on the ground outside. But can anyone tell me if its in order to convert the wards or flatten them?
