We recently went to Leeds for my partner and on the way back, thought we would pop in and have a look around the outside of the gorgeus building, High Royds. Everyone knows the History behind this place so wont go into that.

The main Admin block is under going facial improvement and it looks as though the clock tower is the enxt victim. I couldnt believe how nice the making the place look and there keeping all the original features, keeping the same windows, balconys and doors. The new buildsat the back of admin however, are not as nice as the original building. I went into the main office to find out about the development and how much an apartment will cost and got given a brochure. It shows what they are actually going to do with the area and where the new builds are going! Ive only got a few pictures as it was a chilly day and we needed to get home. So, wont bore you any more........

It looks like they're doing a good job with renovating the place, and cleaning up the stonework as well. It's looking great, looking forward to seeing the clock tower when it's all done and finished now.

Did you say you had a leaflet thing with how they development is going and what they're doing to the place? I don't suppose you'd be able to scan it all at all and let us have a look at the finished product?

Nice work, looks good.

Cheers,

:) Sal

i can take a picture of the booklet and add it. Its just of the new builds i think but shows the layout of the whole development. Expensive to buy the new builds! Looking at £200,000 for a 2 bed!!!!!!

They are making a very good job of it! Ill take some pics now of the leaflet.

right, just been scouring the internet and found this site which is basically the same as the brochure. So ill add link onto here of what they are doing. Quite interesting to see how it will look in the future! :D

Think in 3 years, when theyve probably finished it all, we might have a look at buying an apartment! Would love to live here!

Cool stuff. Its changed a hell of a lot since those first visits we made hasn't it!

Great update there Kezza..shows they can keep the good stuff after all if they try!I bet an appartment in the admin block would cost an arm!

to be honest, the new builds cost more to buy than the redeveloped! Had a loook at some prices and theres about £50,000 difference between the new and old!!! :O

Goldie, yeah its been ages! So much has changed there now! Quite abit has gone and looks totally different! :(

It's changed even more since I last went here. That was when it was open donkey's years ago, had gone to visit my ex father in law, (they sent alcoholics in there lol). When they started feeling better, they'd let em out, and the first place they'd go down to was the pub at the bottom lol. Had to start all over again then pmsl.:lol:
