Visited the site on the 4 December for a quick look round.

The large sandstone main block is well boarded up and secure. It is in very good condition except some water damage due to damaged guttering. Power is still on - there was a car outside, so there may be security.

The most of the rest of the buildings are small and distant to the main block. All are boarded up and padlocked, although once again, access may be possible via another means. The buildings are of varied construction and function (stores, boiler house, incinerator, sports halls, kitchen), but are externally pretty dull.

There are swings and slides and roundabouts on site, if you fancy a play.

Some lights were on in the building, and the padlock hasp on the front door was open (with the padlock unlocked, which is always a bad idea, because someone can lock you in then). All the ground floor windows are boarded up, so he wouldn't be able to see much from there. We wandered round the outside for a while, talking loudly, and no one came out.

The gate at the bottom of the drive was unlocked as well.
