    Default Severalls Asylum

Went to severalls for the first time today, that place is massive! I know the history has been recorded here a number of times so I won't go into that.

    The story so far...
I found a way in after about an hour of driving around the site, finding somewhere to park and surveying the area, then thought that was a bit easy? What I didn't realise was, that there are two perimeters the second being more of challenge shall we say... Doh!

So, spent another couple of hours working out the best way into the juicy parts and found two or 3 options but was running out of time, so research now done, a few photos taken around the chapel and other boarded up buildings and job done!
... Until the next time where I will know exactly where i'm going and how to! I can't wait!
As i'm new to this forum I will try and upload the piccy's at a later date when I work out how?

If anyone has any hints and tips about this place I would be more than happy to hear from them!!!

Have to say Mookster and I spent a good hour or two staring at the palisade fencing before calling it a day and meeting a friendly security guard upon leaving. We have every intention of giving it another go in the new year...Keeo in touch if you fancy tagging along.

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
