In Victorian times this place was called Lexden & Winstree Workhouse. It later became St Albright's Hospital then it became a Social Services Centre untill it closed in December 2005. I took these photos witin a few weeks of closure before it was tottally boarded up. Today some of it has gone to housing and the had been a number of fires and chav damaged which has meant the place has been secured it. I think the original plan was to convert it into flats. It's a big site and even included a chapel. There were rumours it was haunted.

I didnt have a tripod and it was nightime went I went so excuse the shots.
