Minffordd Hospital was originally built as an isolation hospital after a bad typhoid epidemic in 1882 killed 42 people, it evolved through manyt chages in its long history eventually being a community hospital and the home for the Gwynedd Alzheimers Society. After a lengthy public consultation, it closed in 2006. Solo visit avoiding the hen night that was taking place at my house by chucking a sleeping bag in the car and sodding off for the weekend :)
