Hey, so me and a couple of other urbexers visited this site in March earlier this year. We were pretty constrained time wise, we only got to look around two of the bulidings before the sun started to go down and we were using the hospital as a location for a photoshoot so this took up a lot of time also! There are holes in the walls where the copper wire has been taken and loads of the roof has been tampered with, but on the whole, from what we saw, this building has stood the test of time relatively well.
This is my first post, so I hope all is satisfactory. Enjoy!

Entry to this place was pretty easy. I don't remember encountering anyone, we pretty much had free reign, despite all the signs about police dogs and cctv. At first glimpse, entry looks like it will be tough, but a walk round proved that there is always a way in if you look hard enough.
Ok so the first building was pretty bare. It had in it a large high ceilinged room with several chairs, another with a chair and a table, a reception room, a small kitchen, a male and female bathroom and a therapy room. This part has escaped with relatively minimal graffiti too.

(You can see the hole in the wall next to the white chair where the wires have been pinched!)

With the second building we struck lucky, as we never in a million years thought we'd have time to find the padded cell, but we did! It's amazingly well preserved. The walls are covered in mould and condensation and the door has been ripped off its hinges Though some kind soul has propped it back up again! It's incredibly eerie being in there (I was left alone in there for a few minutes while the people I was with went for a wander, and took the torches with them!), one can only imagine what it would have been like for a patient inside with the door shut!

A stroll down the corridors revealed toilet and bathroom cubicles and a couple of dormitorys. No beds remain, just a few belongings, including a doll and Julian Fisher's suitcase.

Sadly my camera decided not to be up to its usual standard, and I only got a few pics, as I was the one being photographed.
Here are some photos from the shoot, hope you like them!

The chair is covered in sticky stuff, I don't recommend you sit on it, and there are 13 spiders living (or were once living) under that table. Thoroughly recommended as a first visit! Had a great day, and what's more, now I have the bug! Expect to hear more from me!!
