This is my first solo (and tbh, my first significantly successful) abandonment explore for a number of years as I have finally fixed my bike up so have a bit of mobility. This particular site has been done to death but I thought it would be a good start and offered a nice cycle ride to get there too.

There was quite a bit of activity at the front entrance but a bit of a scenic detour found me entering from behind (stop sniggering at the back there!) where it was much more deserted.

It's a real shame such a building is getting demolished.

Note to self: Bring workman's gloves next time - broken glass galore!

Needs a lick of paint I think

There's a hole-in-the wall available if you need some cash.

This is why you don't even bother with risk assessments in this game.

Big place and this is just one of the buildings.

Nice decor...just no floor.

Every room has been given a number by the demolition crew.

Ran out of interesting or witty comments...This is a door

Almost all the rooms are completely bare. The usual suspects have even had all the piping away. No graffiti though.

No shortage of long corridors.

My size 10 workman's boots must have woken up a hobo next door by the sounds of it so decided to call it a day and leave quietly.

This was just from the two buildings at the back (Cheviot House and the 3 story Victorian one). There are some more further in including the redbrick tower but I considered myself lucky knowing there were staff on site so cut my losses.

All in all a pretty fun day out. Already planning the next one after a local scouting session yesterday.

Well done for getting the pics that you did. Me and my friend want to do St Mary's again soon, before the building goes down. We where thinking of taking the dog for a nice walk around and maybe asking security if they would allow us to enter

I've not noticed many reports of this place!
I've fallen in love with it already tho!
Excellent pics and an amazing solo effort! Keep it up!
