Visited earlier this year. It's took me 7 months to post! Very lazy of me, sorry. Anyway I'm on a roll now and I've got to carry on once I've started. Also I've just worked out (I hope) to upload from flikr.

Greylingwell's history is well documented elsewhere, so I'm not going to cut and paste from other sites. What I would say is that whilst I was here with Immortal Owl, they had started demo in and around admin. Parts had gone, others had been clad with metal. It looks like the hospital had been slowley closing for some time with just a few acute wards and mostly old age wards left by the end. Most of the ward photos were from the the latter.

I love the irony of this one

I hope that is enough

Nice one! What a minter!
Beautiful clean photos too, I don't think I've actually seen this one before, so is all new to me. Love it! :)

Good pictures from there, I like the winter scenes looking out the windows.

thanks chaps - It was quite an interesting explore - security had done a good job keeping out the people we don't want in these places. Also lots of evidence that this place had been internally sealed up very tight with locks everywhere. Overall a great building - very similar to other compact arrow designs - but well maintained - pity much of it will end up as rubble.

Wow this looks amazing I love the 12th shot looking out the window

Top marks Sir,these are truly great photos. I have to agree that the shot of the tap and ivy is great. It has a very atmospheric feel to it.

Would love to visit this place? anyone know if its still worth it. im in the west sussex area

Probably still worth visiting, yes. Don't know how far along demolition will be by now but it's best to see what asylums you can before they're all gone forever!

I will have a look tonight if I can as I am passing right by and live Local. If not then I will ask my sister in law as she works on the new Greylingwell bit

yeh nice shot:), seams a bit more open these days with the development from when we went there twice:)
