An absolutely incredible building in such a sorry state. It's amazing that so much of the stained glass is still in a good condition, and I very much hope that it will be saved somehow, before the building is beyond repair (if it isn't already).

The asylum was built in 1816 and the church was added in 1861. The chapel was then licensed for baptism and marriage in 1867.

Great to see a church / chapel that still has its pews in they are usually the first thing to get sold off and I really feel they add a sense of completeness to the photos.

Hope your well?

Joe

I totally agree Joe. Was really nice to see it so intact, albeit covered in pigeon poo!

I'm very well thank you. Hope you are too!

Looks quite intact inside, I like the stained glass but not the pigeon poo!

Yay! So cool that you got the close ups of the detail on the stained glass window. Ace :D
