After months lurking i decided this site is preferable over '28 days' so heres my first post! I'm sure everyone knows this site so i wont reiterate the history.

You can follow the guide as per the link below.

Hope this helps

I think you're using the wrong links for your photos, like Pete says you can find instructions on the thread he linked to.

You might also want to read [ame="http://www.derelictplaces.co.uk/main/showthread.php?t=16286"]the guide to posting[/ame] location reports which contains other handy info.

Look forward to seeing your photos. :)

quite a few people use both sites, 28dl is more focused on things like drains and crains where as DP is more derelict places and wartime sites

It's an excellent little site but unfortunately the flat roof has about 6 inches of water sitting on it that's started making its was inside. A large portion of the ceiling plaster had dropped off that was fine when i visited like 2 weeks before so i can see that place being a mess soon enough...the lights still work tho!

Is that Harold Wood Hospital mortuary?

I remember my first mortuary when I was 14... we tried to play ouija on the slab using cards and a wine glass but the glass wouldn't slide 'cos of all the sh*t! The building was an old stately home converted to a TB sanitroium after it was donated to the town of Ramsbottom by a Lady Aitken. It's a Muslim priest training school now and was opened by Cat Stevens after he converted to Islam and called himself Yusuf. Silly sod... it just doesn't have the same ring to it on an album sleeve does it!

good stuff mate :) what i have found is people tend to get hung up on places like  this and to be honest there is more to a hospital than just the Mortuary but my exploring partners is hooked on them :lol: he is strange.

Nice pictures mate keep it up

Ooooo i do love a good mortuary....just a bit creepy with the black and white shots, nice one, great post...

So is St. Peters a hospital or an asylum or what? Looks "velly intellesting"...

I think the rest of the site is a very active general hospital.

Good shots, glad you got them up. I'm not a fan of the dismissive "you know the history already" urbex report meme, I know very little about it and i've been there.
