Having looked at other members reports, which told of the redevelopment of the site, I was pleasantly surprised to find there was still iplenty to explore here. While there were workers on some parts of the site, we were able to access several parts of the site, by climbing through partially-demolished corridors and meandering around bricked up areas. We plan to return soon, with a map of the original buildings ,to get a better picture of what the place was like in all its former glory..

Picture 32 is a seclusion room bed, a patient would be placed in here with the door locked. Nursing staff would bring the patient in under restraint lie them on the bed then leave sharpish.

It's good to get an update from here, the place is looking a bit worse for wear.

Soo jealous!! me and a friend tried to get in here a couple of months ago but there were too many workmen around, had to leave with a tear in my eye. Good on you, thanks for showing me inside:)

Wow, a lot more than I imagined there to be. Well done on getting in, and for the ace photos. So is that bed solid porcelain? Must have been freezing.
