BARROW GURNEY HOSPITAL, SOMERSET.
I was really looking forward to visiting this one and she did not disappiont! If you like peely paint and corridors this place has got it by the bucket load!! The weather and company was great, all round top splore destination.
Visited with Ninja Kitten.

Barrow Hospital opened in 1939 as a result of the existing 'City of Bristol Mental Hospital' at Stapleton suffering from overcrowding and unsatisfactory design.
Designed by Sir George Oatley, Barrow Hospital would house 1200 patients and would include treatment centres for local authority and private patients aswell as a chapel, recreation hall, laundry and central kitchens.
Barrow Hospital closed its doors in 2006.
In 2008 planning permission was given for 18 luxury homes and 405,000 sq ft of office space and in 2010 plans were amended to include a 220 bedroom care home 'village'.

Good to see another Barrow report, she certainly won't be around for much longer. Took a solo trip here the other day, they really are working fast sadly :(

Very nice shots and report there mate!
