Been searching for this for months, and me being me had been searching for coppice road not realising the road name had since been changed. its took me ages to eventually find it. (prat lmao).

Was the hospital much larger than the one building thats left? would have loved to look around here. at least it looks nice and they haven't overdone the conversion - from the outside at least lol.

thanks for the pics, only just seen it.

Re: Coppice Hospital,

Hi Sal,

Like you say, coppice road is now Ransom road and has been for years and years. I don't believe that their was ever much more to The Coppice than the main building, a lodge, a few outbuildings and a couple of smaller newer units at most, as it seems to have been more of an annexe to Mapperley hospital in its later years and had a fairly low patient population by comparison. The way up to it gives a good view to mapperley but means you end up round the back of the main building - the original drive (now grassed over) used to go direct from the lodge on ransom road up to the front door and can still be made out (despite being in someones garden). Like someone said before the old cheap double glazing is the main thing that lets the place down.

Pete
