I was working in Ruthin and it would have been poor form not to drop in and visit the old girl

Pool Park has always been about that staircase and with good reason, it's stunning

Pool Park was rebuilt in 1826-1829 for the second Lord Bagot.
It was acquired by the North Wales Counties Mental Hospital and opened in 1937 to accommodate 87 patients for relief of overcrowding at the Denbigh asylum.
It has a main elevation of 2-storeys, plus attic, and is rendered with a slate roof.
It has a nine bay front with projecting gabled end bays. The centre three bays are also gabled with a projecting central entrance bay. The entrance has an ornate plastered porch with coat of Arms above and an arched entrance.”
Pool Park closed in 1990, and has lain empty since then.

Nice shots, love this place. Last time I was here it looked developers were about to move in as all the bits outside had been tidied up and neatly stacked. From the inside shots doesn't look like it though. Cheers for sharing.

Nice shots man. I was there a month ago. Looks like someone's put the chair back together. It was in bits on my visit.
