West Park Mortuary - Oct 2013

I really though I'd missed the boat on this one, as it's been sealed for months. But, deciding to walk the dog around the site this afternoon to see how the redevelopment work is progressing, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the place was wide open. I think the contractors had been in to identify gas lines. It was actually pretty shocking to see the place open, as it's not exactly the safest playground for the kiddies living in the new houses and converted ward blocks. Still, figuring it would probably be quickly sealed again, it was an opportunity not to be missed, so I nipped home for the camera before it got too dark...

































Whilst a lot has disappeared from here, I was pleased (?) to see the squirrel and some remaining brain blocks and slides.

I thought that would have been completely emptied by now. I'm actually surprised so much is still left!
